LSU Transfer for Engineering

I did a search for this and found a similar thread, but I wanted to add my own background.

I currently attend Tulane University on the premed track, but I am leaning towards doing chemical engineering (biomolecular concentration) instead of medicine. I am aware that Tulane still has chemical engineering, but I also have the opportunity to attend LSU (money is not a factor either way) whose engineering department is stronger. I am very attached to Tulane and would rather not leave, but if it is a good career move, I will transfer.

Would it be a better decision to transfer to LSU if I did decide to make the permanent switch to engineering? Will it make a significant difference in job opportunities, education, etc?

Any help at all would be much appreciated!!

Both programs are ABET approved with the same Washington Accord and Canadian international recognition. Tulane offers a Biomedical Engineering degree and LSU offers a Biological Engineering program.
If it were my decision, I would choose the school I liked best.
Good luck as both are great programs.

If you are concerned about job and career implications, you may want to check with the career centers of both schools to see what companies come recruiting for chemical engineering interns and graduating seniors at each school.

Of course, there could also be cost and financial aid implications.
