Lucid Dreaming

So jealous. I never remember my dreams, except for when I’m woken up in the middle of one-- but then I only remember the dream starting from when it begins to fade :(

I’ve had a lucid dream once or twice and it was pretty darn awesome! Sadly, I don’t remember any of my dreams now. I use to remember they when I was younger, but now when I wake up, I almost immediately forget them.

What’s weird is that since I’ve been forgetting my dreams, I’ve been been really short-term forgetful. I’ll be thinking of something and the next second I’ve completely gone blank! Coincidence? Maybe!

^^^ @rrcjmcandless: Yeah! I do that a lot. Mostly, when I have a bad dream, I can usually wake up when my blood pressure gets elevated enough. I once slept through a Harry Potter movie and I had a dream that I was at Hogwarts. lol

Evertime I realize i’m in a dream, I wake up almost instantly. I saw this super hot chick in my dream and then I was like wait, this has to be a dream…and damn, I had to wake up just when things were getting good. :(

I have lucid dreams about once every three times. I don’t know how I can do it, but it just happens. When I was little I would try to convince everyone in my dream that they were really in a dream, but no one ever believed me lol. Now I basically just travel to places, eat really awesome food, fight zombies, and other…stuff.

Oh man, I try to run in my dreams all the time! It’s so annoying because I’m like “***, I can’t run fast.” My legs end up moving very slowly like they’re in pudding or underwater (like some1 else said). When I was little I use to literally move my legs so I would kick my blankets to the ground. Hahaha.

Also, when I was little, I used to accidently sleep with my face in the pillow. Of course I couldn’t breathe, but I had the same dream that I was in a huddle with a bunch of firefighters planning to storm into a burning building. Looking back, this was VERY dangerous. I would realize that it was just a dream, and I would force my body around to breathe.

Nowdays, I just go along with my dreams. I find myself running around in confusing buildings a lot.

This happens to me occasionally. Usually after I’ve been asleep and only kind of wake up before falling asleep again. Very cool.

How do you “fall” in your sleep? Usually we all “fall” or something, it’s part of the sleep cycle right? And many of us wake up that way.

I always fall by falling down the stairs. Always. My friends have said that the fall by falling off a cliff or something similar.

^ I usually jump out a window or off a ledge or something in Matrix-style slow motion. But that’s because most of my lucid dreams - when I’m lucky enough to have them - involve chase sequences where I’m running away from something.

I’ve only had one lucid dream in my whole life. It was maybe 10 yrs ago but I still remember it. Someone was chasing me. This was about the fifth nightmare in as many nights I’d had at that time, and I guess I realized that it wasn’t real. I was still very scared, but trying to convince myself not to freak out. That didn’t help very much lol–I was still incredibly scared. I knew I would wake up before the dude killed me, so I sort of just started running slower. He approached with a knife; I woke up; nightmare over.

I didn’t at the time realize I couldv’e made myself fly! I wish I woulda tried… I just wanted to get out of it b/c it was a terrible nightmare!

And smorgasbord, I LOVE that song (and Franz) very very much. :D

I usually “fall” by tripping over my own two feet. Clumsy in real life, clumsy in my dreams…

Do you do anything to bring on a lucid dream? Or does it just happen randomly for you?
