That’s normal sleep paralysis. StraightsJacket is being a ■■■■■. “I googled it” is not a citeable source, and neither is wikipedia (especially if there isn’t a specific article). Plus, although what you described might be symptoms of haunting, they’re exactly what you feel in sleep paralysis. The big difference is that sleep paralysis is real, while hunting is not.

StraightsJacket (edited to clarify who I mean) is a ■■■■■, don’t listen to him. Although I have heard of real people experiencing similar things, usually it’s because the person tried to use drugs to induce a lucid dream (which has about a 50% success rate, and a 50% rate of scary experience (I haven’t tried it, btw)) or had a preexisting psychological condition.
That’s pretty much right. I’m not sure if the REM machine is worth the cost, though. That’s up to you (anyone reading this post) to decide.</p>
