When S moved into Lupton in August '02 it was the hottest day of the year to that point in Nashville. Same kind of weather for D in August '05. Weather forecast for Nashville on Saturday is for temps in low 80s - what a nice treat for the class of '13 and their families as they start their Vanderbilt years. Good luck to all!

It was 100 degrees last year when D moved in. I felt like I’d stepped into an oven! Such a break for this year … enjoy!!

I wonder where all that man-made global warming we’ve heard so much about over the past few years from Al Gore and the far left has gone?

The global warming is in my office! :)

It was hiding in the ice caps, but now that they are running out of room there it might come back ;)

I was there in 05 too…it was incredibly hot. Last year was comfortable, in comparison. I’m bringing my soph back tomw so glad to know it’s not too bad!

We are packing up to bring our last child to start a life at Vanderbilt. It brings us so much unexpected happiness to know he will have four years of his life among great people in a town where we were also happy as students 30 years ago.

Thanks to those students and current Vandy parents (you still count UV0609) for your welcome, ready advice and insights into Vanderbilt life today. Your voices made a difference. (special shout out to student GCN2 for his quick and sensible assists to prospie and recently admitted students posting here)

On our way…

vandyclassof2013, u are absolutely correct, this is definitely concrete proof that global warming is not occuring

I sense some sarcasm? Well since you objected to my light hearted comment, I could talk about how the earth has actually been consistantly cooling since 1998. But this isn’t the place for that, so we’ll just leave it at “Good luck all incoming freshmen”.
