I just heard about this program, has anyone attended before? Is it worth the cost?
Also, is it competitive to get into? or is it pay=accept thing?

Lumiere is not a scam.
If they have a program you are interested in doing and it’s affordable for your family, by all means consider it. It will likely not move the needle in college admissions for you/or at the college where your mentor might be employed, but it may give you an interesting experience where you will learn, and something to write an essay about.
