Yeah, I was wondering how many of you guys have most of the better food at your school taking away. Such as the vending machines with gatorade and even soda. I don't really drink soda but everything was pretty much replaced with water at my school. They got rid of donuts and all that crap and leave the pizza..never understood how that works.

We have a separate line for health food, but otherwise our school still runs on junk food, which is fine by me.

We still have soda machines too.

We have good hot food (spaghetti, meatballs, and such) which is actually what I eat, or sandwiches when there's nothing good.

d@mn schwarzenegger. This year, all the vending machines only sell water and tiny poweade bottles, the lunch lines have only chicken patties, chips, bean burritos, and not much else. And the student store sells fruit and protein bars instead of candy.

They switched all the normal soda in the vending machines with diet soda but "forgot" to change the machines. For example, if you put money in for a regular orange soda and pressed the orange soda button, a diet orange soda would pop out.

yea my school's lunch menu has been getting worse and worse over the past 4 years, and this year tops them all. the food used to be soo good, but now it's disgusting

Well, my school never really sold soda, only after 2pm! But everything else is still as good as ever. The food is great! Our school still serves fried dough pizzas, french fries, pizza etc. daily. We also have a salad bar, so there are also healty choices. People can also get a sandwich or a grinder, so I guess it really isn't that bad. Tons of snack foods too... Candy apples the other day and cookies and stuff.

According to rumours I have heard though, the kids in the middle school (7-12 school) have to buy an apple when they buy a cookie... haha

my lunch is good, except now their rebuilding our lunch room, 2 floors, gonna be buffet style gonna seat like the whole school indluding factuly so it can sit like 3000. but now since it's being reubilt we're having catered food which sucks.

Health food? Riiight. Every line at my school has pizza and fries everyday, plus something else that's just as unhealthy, like hot dogs. Only one line has "real" food, but it looks so nasty, practically no one gets it. And we have a snack bar line where they have basically snack food and soda, but some people get those nasty nacho things everyday.

Urgh. Very nasty food.

.-_-.

Our lunch is good, at the caf we serve one line food liks pasta, french fries, and such. The other line it's salads, bean salad, healthy sandwiches, and bagels. But, we still serve the junk, such as pizza and ice cream sandwiches, cookies, etc. Usually I don't eat caf food, I bring my own lunch, unless I have no lunch one day and I have no choice but to buy caf food.

hah, all of you guys are spoiled. In nyc we never had soda to start with (not since 2003), we have an agreement with snapple to give us their bottled water and their sugar ridden "fruit" juices, which taste like milk (oh because they have milk in them, which is disgusting). Also, in all NYC high schools, the foods are the same, but my hs this yr cooks the food better than my hs last yr. Vending machines are filled with baked chips, low sodium things etc, but since everyone is trying to sell candy for fundraisers to support clubs & sports, kids can still get their daily dose of sugar in =).

At my school, we have no vending machines, and just one long line for food. You barely get any options.

Who eats lunch at School?

Not me!

havent eaten lunch at school since sophomore year. they completely remodeled our cafeteria and the food has been terrible since. i think it has to do with the lack of money because so many people here get reduced price lunches, so unless you want to spend $6 a day at the a la carte line, the food bl ows.

^^Its unhealthy not to eat lunch, btw

i still eat it, just not at school

I eat a breakfast at 6:30 and a sandwhich at 4:30, dinner at 7:00

This works for me.

I don't think its good to starve yourself for 10 hours a day

yea, at my school, they got rid of all the snapple machines and our lunch menu has has more healthier food choices. On top of that, people are not allowed to sell candy in school (but people still do anyway). Lunch sucks.
