I'll confess that I used to be a lurker (i know...how shameful) but I've been around for a while, commenting here and there under a different ID. and I have to say that this forum is by far the best of all the Ivy forums. For example, the Penn and Columbia boards just plain suck, the posters are all rather selfish instead of helpful.

But what kills me is that there are so few of us Dartmouth-worshipers! It's not like I care about beating the other schools in the number of posts or anything, but I bet there are so many lurkers out there that just need their Dartmouth love stirred up with some other things to do.

Lurkers, speak out! Do you need a raging Or game or Word Association thread? You don't have to feed off these conversations. Let us know why you stake this forum out, why you love Dartmouth!

I have been lurking on this site for two months....like you guys I have recieved a likely letter and I am overjoyed. I am irritated that Dartmouth can't just give us or acceptance letters now, because it would be a lot easier to secure various scholarships if I told these schools that I had been officially accepted to Dartmouth. Does anyone else share my frustration?

As a rejected ED applicant, I lurk more than I post here now, but I still think the Dartmouth forum is my favorite. I didn't really think it could happen, but we really had a feeling of friendship and community- especially last fall/winter as we waited for ED decisions. It'd be hard to find a kinder and more supportive group. If the kids here are any indication of the Dartmouth student body, that's a pretty good reason to love Dartmouth.

I am a Dartmouth ED rejectee as well. I, too, feel the same way abotu the Dartmouth threads and the sense of community and friendship that I felt while awaiting ED decisions. However, now it is too depressing to come back to this forum so I barely lurk, and almsot never post. I'm still upset and purplexed that you were rejected Elizabeth, Dartmouth doesn't know what they're missing. Though I miss Dartmouth, I have found comfort on the Cornell forum, they are very friendly too and support each other, etc. I feel that Dartmouth and Cornell are probably two of the friendliest boards on the site.

My D was deferred ED. I agree with all.... great group of people. We are still hoping for that fat envelope April 1. I think she will be most comfortable with this school.

Dartmouth is truly awesome. A couple years out I still hang out with Dartmouth people all the time. Even in grad school at Columbia all the Dartmouth alums are friends, its crazy.
