Luther vs Pacific Lutheran

For some reason, my research keeps bringing me to small, Norwegian-lutheran universities. I have recently discovered Pacific Lutheran. I have known about Luther for some time now. The schools seem similar in that they are small, lutheran, and have well known choirs. PLU is obviously not a liberal arts college, but how different is it? PLU also seems to offer some ridiculous merit scholarships. What are your opinions? Are there other similar colleges to check out?

Yes, PLU IS a liberal arts college. (Where do you get the impression that it is not?) They give an excellent education and the campus is gorgeous. They are exceptionally strong in music (particularly choral), education, nursing, and the sciences.

I am a PLU alum, and I loved every minute of it. Granted, it was many years ago but I hear that it is still a wonderful school.

If you like Lutheran schools, you should also check out St. Olaf.

Oh whoops, I guess it is liberal arts. I must’ve misread something.

Have you looked into Concordia and Gustavus Adolphus (the latter not Norwegian but in MN and Swedish).

I’ve looked into Gustavus, seems a little too small for me. I’ve heard of Concordia, but upon further research it doesn’t seem to offer any of the degrees that I am considering. Thanks for the response!
