Just checking to see who else has received 2025 Acceptance to Lycoming College?
Anyone has a list of pros and cons for Lycoming College?
Congratulations!
Have you received your financial aid package?
Have you been able to visit?
Where else have you applied (Ursinus, Elizabethtown, Allegheny, Lebanon Valley, West Chester, a PSu branch?..)
I think that for a commuter, they’d be very competitively priced compared to a PASSHE school or a PSU branch, especially if you get the top scholarship.
(The guaranteed scholarship/guaranteed graduation in 4 year guarantee are also a good system).
Thank you! i would be a residence, but still a very generous package.
i was able to visit and tour the area.
i applied to Etown, susquehanna and other similar schools, but also bigger out of state like fordham and elon.
Lycoming is awesome, but not sure if i need a bigger school. i am sure to do a student acceptance day for more info.
Keep your options open. This way you can think about what you want from a college, about who you are - you’re likely to grow a lot between August and April of senior year in HS. By having choices, you can be sure that you find the best fit for who you are, at the best value for your family.
Sounds like you applied to a lot of well-chosen colleges, a well thought-out list.
Just in case…
You might be interested in Dickinson and Kalamazoo; they’re roughly as selective as Elon and often offer good financial/merit aid. You might want to run the NPC in any case.
In terms of bigger schools with a similar vibe as LACs, 2 publics: SUNY Geneseo (in NYS, 5,500 students) and UMW (in VA, 5,200 students) maybe interesting to you. UMW has good automatic merit scholarships. 2 privates: WPI and Brandeis (very selective) may also be of interest, run the NPC first of course.
Excited for my acceptance letter to Lycoming College!
Does anyone know how roommates are picked?
Majors, athletes, random, or do you pick thru a social media site?
