Lying About Common App Disciplinary Probation

So Im a freshman that’s going to transfer to USFCA this fall for cs and so far i have a 3.3 gpa. I have been placed for
disciplinary probation for a marijuana incident i wasnt even involved in. My current college says that the disciplinary probation will not appear on my transcript. I heard that USFCA considers past disciplinary sanctions but since it is not showing up on my trancripts, i dont think they’ll find out. I was wondering if they call my current school or ask for a letter from dean even though both schools arent that big tbh. Also i was wondering if i should lie about it in the first place…

You don’t ‘think’ they’d find out if you didn’t self-report, but what if they did? Automatic rejection.

OTOH, if you weren’t even involved in the marijuana incident like you say, and explain so in a good letter, perhaps with a corroborating letter from the Dean backing you, I would bet they evaluate you on your merits alone.

I too would be tempted to not self-report it in your shoes, but I think I would. No use jeopardizing my current and future integrity over something that happened in the past.

you’re right thanks for your input

The place to start is with the disciplinary authority at your current college. If you truly were not involved, then you need to appeal and get the probation cleared from your record.
