Lyman Briggs

I am worried about the space available for Lyman Briggs can someone tell me how fast this college fills up because I applied for this college on 10/22 (transcript by 11/6) and they have yet to respond and I am worried about the spaces available. Thanks.

Lyman Briggs normally takes about 500 people (or 600, I was told this last summer at a conference about the res colleges.) The lady talking about Lyman Briggs said that even though they have a waiting list, they typically get almost everyone in, since people change their majors so much before school actually starts. I hope you get in, I’m in Lyman Briggs too!

A waiting list how do you know if you’re on it? Do you think it’s filled up so far?

I’m not sure, but I would assume that if you were accepted and it lists Lyman Briggs as your major. you’d have a spot. Did you get a letter actually from Lyman Briggs welcoming you to the college? Also, I’m sure you could call either them or maybe the office of admissions and they could tell you if you are wait listed or not.

I haven’t heard anything from MSU period (sorry if I seem assuming) but I am worried that I may be waitlisted from this because my major I listed is pre med. But they send you letter if your in Lyman Briggs how did that work for you

In order to be placed into Briggs you have to put that as your major on your application. If you didn’t do this, you can still change your major on the beaspartan page. As for getting the letter, on my acceptance letter it said my major was Lyman Briggs and then about a week later I got a letter from Briggs saying welcome to the college.
