Right now, I put my major for MSU as Human Biology, but now I see that most pre-med kids are in Lymann Briggs. I wanted to switch, but theres a waitlist and you find out if you get in during June, so I'm not going to put my name in there. But can I still live in the same hall (Holmes) as the Briggs kids or do you have to be in Briggs to live there? And if you can, are there lots of people in Holmes that aren't in Lyman Briggs?

You have to be in Lyman Briggs to live in Holmes Hall. There are always kids graduating, flunking, changing majors, so you have a good chance to get in.

I’m not that well introduced to Lymann Briggs, but I thought just majority of students with lyman briggs major have the option of first choice to be place in Holmes.

My understanding of it is that you have to be in Lyman Briggs to live in Holmes Hall. I don’t know if you have to live in Holmes Hall to be in Lyman Briggs.

You don’t have to be Briggs to live in Holmes, I know a couple guys that live there that aren’t in Briggs and never have been.

I’m pretty sure that if you are a freshman, you have to be in Lymann Briggs to be in Holmes. Also, you don’t get a choice. You HAVE to live in holmes when you’re in Lymann Briggs as a freshman.

I know that upperclassman are allowed to live in holmes if they want to. When I went to visit, they showed us holmes and there were tons of business/polictal science majors living in holmes but they were upperclassman.

Your right. I’m wrong. I just asked my son and he said there are students not in Lyman Briggs that live in Holmes Hall.

so that means you have to be a non-freshman to live in holmes?
