M.A. in International Policy, should I pick price or quality?

Hello, I need to make an urgent decision on where to go. I was accepted to Monterey Institute of International Studies and some small private schools that are not as highly ranked. Monterey is going to cost me about $55,000 for tuition and is two years long and the other 2 programs I got into are 1 year long and cost about $23,000 total. Do you think it is worth the extra money/time to go to Monterey? I do not know if the better ranking will make much of a difference for my job prospects. Thanks in advance

Can anyone help? I need to decide this week

Would be better if you posted up the other two schools for comparison…

University of San Francisco and Concordia University in Irvine

A lot should depend upon what you want to do with your degree, and some should depend upon a frank appraisal of you ability to perform in each program.

All else being equal, my instinct is that you should favor Monterey. In addition to whatever boost you might from the name recogniztion, the extra year to learn, specialize and network might be worth the money.

I’m curious - what did u end up choosing?
