I’m very interested in Lehigh’s M.Eng. in Structural Engineering. Do most students find jobs upon graduation? Is there a range of starting salaries that I could expect?
idk jobs but starting salaries says a range from 72-50k and a mean of 59k
My son is an engineering graduate. He is making quite a bit more than what any any of the starting salary guidelines I found on the internet. He has an above average grade point average - but certainly not anywhere near a 4.0. Also, I am friend’s with an very high up vice president of a large Fortune 500 manufacturing company. He says their company would love to hire Lehigh graduates but they can’t afford them! He really was serious! Haha!
Lehigh has a lot of connections. Their alumni love helping fellow graduates. Since it is a research university there are many opportunities to get research experience. The professors really recommend you staying on campus Sophomore summer to do research. That experience with help you get a good summer internship Junior summer. Which can lead to a job offer by September of Senior year!
It is your responsibility to take advantage of the opportunities offered at Lehigh! Most of Lehigh’s Engineering students are hard working and ambitious. The older students, professors and alumni enjoy helping students.
Is this the salary range for people with a masters from Lehigh or just an undergraduate degree?
Undergraduates; By the way, out the engineering school within 1 year 66% have found jobs, 29% went on to grad school, 2% continued at lehigh under a special scholarship, 2% are still seeking, and 1% other
