M.Eng then PhD?

<p>Hello all,</p>

<p>I was wondering if it is possible or common for engineering graduates of a M.Eng program to decide to pursue a PhD in engineering afterwards? I know that it is possible at MIT, but is it possible to earn a M.Eng at one school and then pursue a D.Eng or PhD at a different school?</p>

<p>It's just a rather indirect way to a doctorate. If you want to do research, go for the MS or straight to a PhD program. If you don't, go for the MEng.</p>
