M.S. in Journalism (Medill) VS. M.S. in Publishing (NYU)

I need to decide by this week what I enroll in.

I like publishing and journalism both. I currently am in Chicago, but I dream of pursuing magazine journalism in NYC.

Is it better for me to do the 12-month M.S. program at Northwestern's Medill, or go to NYU and do the 2-year MS in publishing program with the ability to do top-notch internships?

Help!

Hey writerwill, my name is Marc and I work at Medill. I’d be happy to get you in touch with a few people here (faculty, students or alumni, whoever you would like to talk with) who can help talk to you more about the benefits of our MSJ program, and specifically the magazine concentration and how it can set you on your path to working in NYC. Feel free to email me at m-zarefsky@northwestern.edu.

Good luck on your decision and have a great day!

Marc
