M.Sc.Oil and Gas Information Technology offering schools

Hi guys, i need your help locating a school in the US that offers M.Sc.Oil and Gas Information Technology. This is a course i want to go in for because i studied computer science as an undergraduate course and i really want to get into the oil sector.

Please is there anyone in the house that knows a particular school that offers this course or a related course. Another name they call it is MSc IT for the Oil and Gas Industry. I found a school that offers it but its in the UK (Oil and Gas Information Technology | MSc IT for the Oil and Gas Industry) and i want a school with something similar in the US.

Besides if there is someone in the house that knows about this course i would really love to hear from you.

Thanks Guys!!

I don’t know about the US but I would think at least one of the universities in Alberta would have the program. Check out the University of Alberta and Calgary.

+1

Especially Alberta.

On second thought, look into Texas. I feel like they have good Oil and Gas stuff.

^ good ideas … and maybe schools in Louisiana or Alabama?

Oklahoma State University ? Not sure if they have it or not, but OSU and OU have strong ties to Oil and Gas industry

I know there’s a few well modeling projects going on at OU, although I don’t believe there’s a masters degree offered for exactly what the OP is looking for. Perhaps he can contact OU’s Petroleum school to find out about his graduate options.

Also, although OSU has a geology department funded by an oil tycoon, OU offers slightly better connections to the industry since we have the state’s PetE program.

Thanks guys…i am currently looking into some schools. This course is very unique and its very streamlined, thats why it is hard to find. A perfect blend of Oil & gas and IT
