I just heard from a rumor from a friend that the M&T program requires more than 4 years for most students and even into 7 years for some! Anyone know if this is true? I’m interested in the program with the wharton degree and the b.AppliedScience (BAS) degree rather than the full fledged B.ScienceInEngineering (BSE) degree. And I have some AP credits too. Thanks.

From what I've read and heard, you should be able to get the BAS and Wharton degree in 4 years if you choose your classes carefully (some with satisfy requirements in both schools). If you want to study abroad for a semester or only take fewer classes per semester, you will probably need a 5th year.

That's correct. If you have AP credit, and you only want the BAS (even if you wanted BSE), you can do it in 4 years with some careful planning (and having a strong workload some/most semesters). Otherwise it could take 5 years. But 7 years is just crazy. You would have to take like 3 classes a semester or something.

Thanks for the replies. Something else occurred to me:

With the additional workload required, especially if one tries to finish in 4 years, does anyone know if M&T grads have really bad GPAs, or at least significantly lower ones? And would a lower GPA hurt... in light of accomplishing a double degree in both business and engineering at a (very) respected school for both fields? Thanks.
