M&T Program at UPenn

How many many people (typically) apply to the M&T program at UPenn? How difficult is the courseload and how many years does it generally take to complete? Thanks!

I'm not sure how many people apply, but 55 people get in. It's pretty competitive, but Huntsman is more so (it gets more applicants for fewer spots).

Many students finish it in four years with AP credit and some summer courses. It's something like 53 credits. As for courseload, well, you will be taking Penn SEAS classes which are known to be curved low. Wharton is no cake, either.

It's certainly doable, though. If you get in, Penn thinks you can handle it. You can always apply for it, and pick whatever school (Wharton or SEAS) as a backup.

55 is the average matriculating class size, not how many get in. Still very competitive. M&Ters are super smart.

People take 4-5 years, depending on whether they do a BAS or a BSE in SEAS.

If you don't get into the M&T program, you select a school that you would like to be considered for. However, this does not mean that if you don't get into M&T you will get into your default selection. You are reconsidered for that selection along with everyone else who applied and can still get rejected.
