I'm trying to decide wether to take M408D or M408M. I am currently taking M408C but i am not doing to great. What is the difference between M408D and M408M? is one of them easier? does one cover more material because it is supposed to be for "advanced" students? or is it the same course just with a different name?

And what professors do you recommend for the course?

M 408M is multivariable calculus.
M 408D covers half of integral calculus and all of multivariable calculus.

If you are not doing well in M408C, you will not do so well in M408D or M408M.
M408M is just “slower” than M408D but essentially covering the same material

You should take the the M408K/L/M sequence if you are required to

I think that you wouldn’t skip from C to M or you would be missing some material. I think that you would move from (accelerated) C to (usual pace of a college calculus course) L and some of the beginning of L would be a review of material at the end of C.

MidwestMom is right. You wouldn’t go to M but to L instead. You will have a slight review which will be good if you aren’t doing as well in C as you would like. The KLM sequence is slower paced and therefore easier.
