Recently I have started to weigh my options on whether grad school was a possibility. I always said I would never go to grad school but the future is never predictable. I know it is an optional long-term goal for 10+ years down the road. Maybe I am taking a chance but I would rather know now if this is completely out of my league before I start. I am wondering if an MA in Economics would benefit me career-wise. I am willing to take a lower position in the economics field. This discussion is filled with multiple questions I guess.

What are my chances at getting into an MA in Economics program at a non- tier one public university?

What level of mathematics should be completed before enrolling in an MA in Economics program?

Are there MA in Economics programs that don't require a thesis?

Can I work in economics without an economics degree?

Are there internships in economics I could take part in instead?

Should I even bother?
Education Overview

will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (with a GPA in the 2.8 - 3.1 range)
achieved grades of B- in both of my economics classes
I much prefer microeconomics to macroeconomics
not interested in doctoral work, I am already fairly undecided on the master's degree
the MA program must be non-thesis for me to consider it; I am great at writing but anything over 10 pages tires me
looking for work in economics, retail management, and possibly consulting

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
