MA in History? What are the best schools?

Hi everyone,

I just finished my junior year at a small private college, Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. There are about 2400 total students who study here.

I want to pursue an MA in United States History. Here is some information about me that grad schools may want to know.

Major(s): BA, History; BS, Business Administration
Minor(s): Writing, Sociology

GPA: 3.78

ECs: President of Student Government, Chairman of College Republicans, Run my own online business that produces annual sales of roughly $125,000, Sigma Tau Delta (English Honors Society), Volunteer at Soup Kitchen once a week.

I haven't gotten much guidance from my professors. What do you recommend I do for my senior year? Will I have a good chance of being accepted into any elite/Ivy League History schools? If so, which are some of the best for United States History?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

this is a bump

Columbia University has a killer US history program. My idol, Alan Brinkley, is a professor there.

You might want to consider posting this in the Grad School forum, it's reasonably active...not as much as this one, but likely has a greater number of people who can give you sound and knowledgeable advice.
