just wondering, what are the differences between obtaining a master's in political science with an international relations emphasis compared to a master's in international affairs? what kind of students pursue which one and what kind of career opportunities are open to each one? thanks

I thought MIA was "Missing In Action." You have just been bumped.

haha, well, columbia calls it M.I.A. but other schools have other names for it. johns hopkins' is M.A.I.A. and yale has it as M.A.I.R.

any ideas out there?

Yes. MA is an academic research program, as opposed to things like Columbia's MIA being professional schools, supposed to give you practical skills you will need to work in the international affairs field.

thanks tango76!
