MA/MSc in International Relations OR MPP/MPA

Hi all,

I am an international student from Eastern Europe. I just graduated with honors in my major (political science/international relations) from an Ivy League school.

I want to return to Europe for grad school, but I cannot decide what grad school program to apply to. I am deciding between a MA/MSc in International Relations and a MPP/MPA. My top choice for both programs is LSE, but I’ll apply to other schools as well.

My ultimate career goal is to work for the European Union in the field of foreign, security and defence policy. I am more interested in implementing rather than generating policy, even though I wouldn’t mind the latter. Considering my career objective, I don’t know which degree will give me a greater edge in the job market and prepare me better for a foreign policy career.

Any advice/thoughts/feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot!!!

I’d REALLY appreciate if somebody offers some advice…

Howdy! If youre going toward LSE do IR. I attended Middlesex UNiversity in the UK and Texas A&M in the US. Also worked recently for the EU. LSE is reknowned and you dont want to limit yourself to policy only realms, keep it wide open where possible. Id weclome a private message if you want to talk more.

santa anna! is that a reference to the mexican general? :stuck_out_tongue:

what program did you do at TEXAS AM?

Thanks Santa Anna! I just sent you a private message.
