So the admissions office told me I should contact my regional interview alumni group to get an interview... except I have no idea how to. Is there any way that one of you could pm me some contact inflrmation for an interviewer so I can find out gow to do this? I found this whole contact advice given to me a little fishy.

I don’t know who you spoke to in Admissions, but that is not the way it is done. Or at least I’ve never heard of it happening. The names flow out to the local alum groups from Admissions, and the alum interviewer contacts the applicant. If you haven’t heard from anyone yet, it may be that no one is available to interview you. It is also possible that you were assigned to someone who hasn’t gotten their interviews done.

Nevertheless, if you want to contact your local club, I suggest you go to this page and follow the links:

I was quickly able to find contact info for the officers of the club in my area.

I think MIT’s the only school which asks the applicant to contact the Alum and Consolation is right.
