MA Statistics at Columbia vs MS Statistics at Carnegie Mellon

Hi everyone. I just got into Columbia's MA of Statistics program and I'm very excited! I think it's a great school in a great location. My only reservation is that the degree is an MA degree and not an MS degree. My second choice is a MS from Carnegie Mellon. Does anyone know the difference between the two degree (MA vs MS)? Has anyone attended Columbia's or Carnegie Mellon's program? Thanks for your time.

Hi there wow great for you! I am actually thinking of applying to Columbia MA stats program but unsure if I should apply for fall or spring term. I was wondering what you did your ugrad in and how well you did on GRE. My only pitfall is my GRE and I come from a Finance ugrad major. Please let me kno if you have any insight on the admissions process and application. Best of luck in the program!!
