(B) 4k/3
(C) 2k
(D) 2k+1
(E) K^2</p>

<p>I couldn't solve the question algebrically so, I plugged in answers and it worked but, I know, it would be alot faster if I could solve it algebrically</p>

<p>2^n[1+2^(1)]=k
(2^n)3=k
2^n=k/3
Multiply by 2^2
2^n+2=4k/3</p>
