I know my stats are kinda low, and my ecs aren't all that spectacular, but do I have a shot at ed admission?

Your stats are, actually, fine as they are for Macalester. You have the right GPA (I belive Mac's average GPA for admitted students last year was about 3.7?) and your right in the middle of their ACT range. I wouldn't worry too much about numbers at this point.

Why Macalester, just out of curiosity? What are some passions you have? You've done alot of community service work, but what is a passion you have, academic or extracurricular? Colleges like to see community service, but lately, colleges seem to want to see dedicated interests in applicants.

There are so many reasons why i like Macalester. :) where do I begin... location, class size, diversity, strong programs in the areas I am interested in, Macsoup(so awesome!) and other ecs... But also, I visited, and it just felt right. I could definately see myself there next year.

As far as passions go, I really love my job. weird huh? :) no but really. Is there anyway I could emphasize that? I will have a supplementary recommendation from my boss (it should be good, he freakin loves me). Also the 20 hrs a week is from last year. This year I've been averaging about 28/week. idk would this just make me seem like a greedy little beeotch?

I suppose I could emphasize my community service, however, its very varied. idk, I just like feeling like i've made a difference in somones life.

aaanyway, thanks for your thoughts. :)
