Mac Sucks

MAC SUX. they're the slowest thing in the world and their keyboards are sooo gay. its like... 1/8 of an inch thick and u dont get the depression of keys like you do with windows. it literally takes me 30 seconds to log on to a mac and 5 seconds to log on to XP... with school computer. and these aren't even good window pcs. the macs are NEW
nobody wants to use the mac at our school.. its like whoever comes in late to the library and all the computer gets taken, that person gets to be the loser on the mac
the only good thing about mac is they dont usually get viruses, and they're "pretty"... but you can make your windows pretty too if you have a fast system and install windows blind. then you can make your entire interface mac. and u can install antivirus softwares.
i do not understand how some people can stand the slowness

I ditched my PC and love my mac.....unlike what you are reporting it is fast start up and so easy to use. Me thinks you got stuck on a machine you aren't familiar with and are venting here. Mac rules in my world. I know many students who have switched at my university.

"you aren't familiar with"... um me sitting there staring at it doesnt have anything to do with my part. its the machine. its not like i'm using a program and i cant find the buttons... then its unfamiliarness. its clicking on something and taking at least 2 seconds for that something to show up. pressing enter and waiting for at least 30 seconds until it uploads all your settings.

i switched at home to macs, my oldest son has an ibook, and that's what my youngest son wants, too.

iphoto is wonderful. i wish i could show you the dvd that some kids created...it is awesome--video, stills, sound--so easy with mac

xokandykyssesox........are you comparing machines of similar age? I mean comparing a Mac that is 8 years old with a new PC isn't valid. I don't know why your Mac would take more time to load unless you aren't using a relatively new machine and the connection isn't working well. I certainly have NO trouble with fast connection or uploading. I can tell you it is not a Mac equipment issue.....the machines a blazing fast.

Maybe you should purchase an Apple that was manufactured in this decade.

That's like me complaining about how much slower a Pentium I is to a Pentium4

Haha, I thought you were talking about my school for a second (Macarthur HS).

We've got both a Mac and a PC. I am considerbly more fond of the latter.

I find macs more reliable than pcs because macs don't crash that easily. However, macs are much slower than pcs for some reason (and I'm talking about my schools G4s running OS 10 compared to our Dell P4s running Win XP)
