<p>I second Abhi's idea. Vista's not too expensive anyway, and the only thing that I disliked about Vista was its lack of compatibility with many things, especially external devices like digital cameras, but the markets have adjusted really fast, so that isn't much of an issue.</p>

<p>I'd go with the macbook, I have an emac (g4) and I love it. (Running 10.4.9)
With the new macbooks, you can dual boot windows like others have said, so you could just buy that (or attain it via other sources :P) There is no downside with the mac, you can do anything a pc can do, plus a lot more.</p>

<p>Macs are awesome. You can do so much nice stuff on them, and contrarily to what people keep spouting out, they're very intuitive and capable, and not for people inept at computers. </p>

<p>Any Windows user who disses Mac should get a slap in the face.</p>

<p>There's barely any reason to buy a Windows computer anymore. Plus, with the addition of Vista, it makes it even worse!</p>
