Hi! I submitted my Macaulay app on Nov 30 so I could qualify for early action at John Jay. My first choice was John Jay and my second choice was Hunter.
I’ve only heard back from one school so far: Lehman, about a week ago and I was accepted. I also got an invitation to apply to Hunter’s Honors program.

I got invited to interview for macaulay at hunter yesterday and I have a lot of questions. Does this interview mean that I got into Hunter because CUNY doesn’t say anything. Also, during the interview does anyone know if it’s going to be one on one or in a group? Lastly, does anyone know the type of questions asked?

Being invited fro the interview does not mean that you got in. It means that you are invited. The interview is optional, but recommended.
Interview Format
Interviews of individual candidates will be conducted by interview teams over Zoom. Interview teams consist of two or more interviewers and may include one or more of the following: a current student, Macaulay at Hunter staff member, faculty member, a donor, an alum, or a friend of Hunter College.
For the questions, I also have no idea. I’m nervous.

I have a new info. I emailed the academic program specialist and she said that two people will be simultaneously interviewing you.

The interviewers will be asking questions that allow them to get to know you; what your interests (academic as well as non-academic) are, why you are interested in Macaulay at Hunter, what you see for yourself once you begin school. It will also be an opportunity to ask us questions about being a Macaulay student.

I didn’t hear anything about an interview, although I did get an email with an acceptance to John Jay today, which is my first choice for Macaulay. Really hoping that I get in as it’s my top choice!!!
I also got an acceptance from John Jay, however, I’m probably going to decline that offer as Hunter is my top choice.
Did you get an acceptance from Hunter yet? Also has anyone who applied to Macaulay with John Jay as their first choice heard about an interview? Feeling really nervous!
Hunter (not Macaulay at Hunter) will be sending out acceptance letters this months, so check your email on a daily basis. Usually, Macaulay decisions come out towards the end of March (22nd or 23rd ish).
Please don’t be nervous. They only want to get to know you. Think of it as a conversation, not an interrogation.
omg my interview is also on the 15th!!
