yes i did too, i thought it was a bad thing but everyone here got it?
i got it too. i applied on jan 15 right after my interview.
i did the nursing scholars program and it is pretty similar! but i donāt know about the essay part, for me is was 300 word max responses to each prompt!
donāt worry youāre not wrong! from what i know, those who apply on or before january 15 get their applications reviewed first and admitted if accepted. and then after, those who applied after january 15 (which is rolling until may) get reviewed for space availability. i hope this helps and please do not lose hope!!
does anyone happen to know how many students in total applied to macaulay honors college? i know for hunter itās about 2400ā¦
Omg right? 2400 applied to Macaulay at Hunter and they will be choosing 1600 to interview. From the 1600 that they interviewed, they will be taking 540 students to move to the next round, which is craaazyyyyy. Lastly, they will only be taking 120 studentsā:sob:. Please correct me if Iām wrong. [Source: The director of Macaulay at Hunter]
Hey everyone, has anyone else applied for Macaulay at CSI?
Hello JCros101, I am convinced that almost everyone here applied to Macaulay at Hunter. Also, I once read on a website that only Macaulay at Hunter and at John Jay do interviews. So, donāt worry if you think you didnāt move on to the next round.
Thanks hamilton51, I was just curious to see if anyone else chose CSI as their first choice. I also did an interview with them this past week so I think they do it for their prospective students too
Firstly, how did your interview go? Secondly, I think most of the colleges partnered with Macaulay are also doing interviews because they needed more from applicants because we couldnāt send in our SAT/ACT scores. Lastly, I hope you get into CSI.
The interview went well, better than I expected. It was like 50 mins long but it was great, a ton of questions were asked and I got to show them the person that I am. Thanks, and I hope you get into Hunter too, itās looking real competitive this year!
Does anyone know how these numbers compare to previous years?
Someone higher up on this thread said their guidance counselor told them the top 5% of applicants are interviewed. If 2400 applied that means only 120 were interviewed. Thatās assuming the 5 % figure is correct. Meaning everyone here who had an interview is already in the small pool of 120. I wonder how many Hunter Macaulay seats they will give this year and if that 5% is correct!
Hey SueCarol, that was me too. Thatās why I got really confused. My guidance counselor told me that she had a meeting with the Macaulay director and she said that the people who were invited to interview were the top 5%. But when I was in the Zoom meeting with the Macaulay director at Hunter during my interview, he said that they were interviewing 1600 students. So, the math is really not mathing.
damnn yeah this is honestly confusing aghh. does your guidance counselor happen to know how many students in total applied to macaulay in general this year?
Hello Savvy17, Iām not sure if she knows. Letās just all hope for the best.
Yes, good luck to everyone, at this point I guess we just have to wait and see how it turns out.
Did anyone accept their admission to their top choice schools are you guys waiting for Macaulay before accepting?
Iām waiting for their decision but then again thatās all the way in March.
Also weird but can I ask what schools you guys attend
Umm. I kinda feel uncomfortable sharing my school lol sorry, but it is in Queens.
