So I got into all four of these schools and am trying to decide which one to attend.

MH Hunter obviously has the edge in financial aid b/c it's free. I get free dorm for two years, live in nyc, free laptop and grants for study abroad/research. Also nyc has tons of job opportunities and internships.

Only problem I see is that even though I'll be in MHC I'll still be going to Hunter so I'm wondering if the quality of teaching and research/facilities/equipments can compare to the others, because I really want to do research in college.

I'm doing psychology so which school is the best in terms of psychology? Which college has the best research facilities and opportunities for undergrads? I'm thinking psychology major but really overall science major.

I have to pay 3500 a year for UB, 8000 for Stony, nothing for Hunter. I have yet to receive my Bing aid but I think the amount will be around 5000 a year. Would it be worth the money to go to one of those SUNY?

Also, comparing the three sunys which one is better?

Thanks to everyone for your input.

macaulay hunter honors is hardest to get in among macaulay programs. congrats to you.
i would say that stony brook is strongest in science. bing is more for business.
if i were you, i would choose between stony or hunter. i am sure stony has tons of research opportunities since they so eagerly provide opportunities for high school students. but on the other hand, nyc has many other colleges. the PI of labs dont really care where you are from as long as you can contribute. so you can find research opportunities at columbia or cornell medical center, and many other institutions…

I say you pick Macaulay Honors. Hunter is a great school, and, while its research program may not compare to Stony Brook’s, there are thousands of opportunities in the city if you cannot find something at Hunter.

Save some money and take advantage of the scholarship at CUNY Hunter. Congratulations!

HEY! Stony! You’re killing me, man. :)

As much as I love Stony Brook and urge 99% of those I meet to attend, I have to take into consideration an slightly objective stance when dealing with $$, especially as a postgraduate student. Haha. :)
