I applied to Macaulay Honors for Baruch College recently. Since its Macaulay honors, I was only allowed to apply to one and pay the $65 fee. My question is, if I get rejected, will I be admitted to the regular honors program? I heard there are 3 levels (macaulay, regular honors, and just regular). So if I get rejected from macaulay, will i be considered for the honors program and regular? Or do I have to apply to regular CUNYs as well?

bump
question again is if I apply to macaulay honors, will i also be considered for the regular admission since i can’t apply to both. there has to be someone who has done this before.

bump bump bump

Yep. I know several people who did not get into Macaulay but are now in the school they applied to’s honor program. They re-evaluate you for the honors program if you dont get into Macaulay. And if you are applying to Macaulay, you must be a strong applicant… so you would probably get into the honors program

mhmm! you’re right–the Macaulay application is triple-faceted. you apply to Macaulay, Baruch Honors, and regular Baruch through that single Macaulay application. if you get into Honors, they tell you that FIRST (if it is a rejection from the Honors program, then in the same letter they’ll probably tell you whether or not you got into regular Baruch), and by March 15, they’ll tell you whether or not you got into Macaulay. with the Macaulay application, you can’t apply to more CUNYs.

i just got my acceptance from Baruch Honors yesterday! and now i’m just patiently waiting for March 15.

Mahnamesk8, in your Baruch scholars acceptance letter, did the second line read that due to the highly competitive nature of Macaulay they referred your app to baruch scholars? And if you can please post your stats, thanks and congrats :D
