<p>Any of you in Macaulay program, please offer tips on getting in?

<p>I’m only a rising senior in HS, but I do know Macaulay requirements are different at each school. The newest program, along with the lowest standards is at John Jay. Definitely consider it if you’re looking to do something with law or criminal justice.</p>
<p>If you get invited in for an interview, go. Try to anticipate beforehand what they might ask and have solid answers prepared. (e.g. Most surely, they’ll ask why you want to be in the program. Have a much better answer than “it’s free”.) </p>
<p>DS was invited down for a Macaulay - Hunter interview and we made it a priority to go, which was a bit of a big deal for us due to husband and I having to take time off from work and DS having to miss school to make the trek down to NYC. I wanted to make sure they knew DS was serious about it though, so we did it without question. I don’t know whether he still would have been accepted if he hadn’t gone down for the interview, but I really believe that it helped.</p>
