Macbook Pro @ stern?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I was wondering if bringing my Macbook Pro to NYU would be a good idea if I am at stern. I did some searching and found mostly 2-4 year old threads about how PC would be better at stern. I am wondering if this has changed a little and stern is a little more Mac friendly? My macbook fits their "requirements" but is not running Windows 7 business. I already have office installed.</p>

<p>Would a mac be fine? Do I have to install windows 7?</p>

<p>You don’t need it, at least not in lower level courses.</p>

<p>if you want to use minitab on your computer you’ll have to have windows to use it offline, or connect through apps@stern if you’re online. you’ll use this program a lot in stats.</p>

<p>i personally prefer windows but to each their own.</p>
