um yeah they are,.

whoops missed that part. I guess they are… I don’t really see why the price is staying the same and nothing is drastically changing in the 13 inch ih well.

The price drop is FANTASTIC (especially for Apple). I was going to get a MBP anyway, but now I’ll be saving cash too!

the price drop will give you a macbook pro with the graphics card of the 13 inch macbook…so if you wanted the pro for the increased video power you still need the $1999 one…

^Oh damn.I just noticed that.

And I’m not too chuffed about the battery being in-built now either (despite it lasting longer).

Still, at least they increased the RAM and processor speed!

And I just realized their ADC discounts aren’t as large, as a percentage of the original prices.

Isn’t it funny that people worry so much about processor speed on the one hand and then look at netbooks with the other when those used old processor types that run slower per clock speed than even celeron chips?

i juste watned the bigger screen. epic win

Given the Mac Updates, I guess I have a new question.

15" MacBook Pro
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
320GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm

OR

15" MacBook Pro
2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
250GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm

OR

13" MacBook Pro
2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
250GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm

Well I’m slightly bummed about the fact that I just bought my 13" MacBook last week, but at the same time, the only difference I see (for the 13" models anyway) is the Pro stuck on the end of it, 2gig more ram, and new processors, but I got this one on a great sale, so I’m not too bummed. I can upgrade the ram and it’ll be practically the same. Oh well. Such is life.

Kind of interesting to see how all the aluminum ones are Pros now. I guess because they’re so closely designed they might as well.

I’m diggin’ that 29 dollar Snow Leopard upgrade though :)

Well considering the size of a netbook it is a trade off you have to make for the portability. and the Atom processors in the netbooks are not old technology. If you put a celeron chip in a netbook the battery would die very quickly and it would get extremely hot.

[Apple Sales and Refund Policy](<a href=“Apple EPP Store”>Apple EPP Store)

You can call Apple about the price difference (seeing as how the price has dropped within a 2 week period of when you bought it). They’ll give you the difference.

I swear there’s also a return policy if a new product is released with 14 days, too. But I can’t find it on their website as of yet.

Best bet’s to call Apple and enquire.

To be clearer about netbooks, the processors are new and draw less power but are less powerful at the same speed than older chips like the Celeron.
