macbooks for business (finance) majors?

hi, im considering getting a macbook pro and im going to be a finance major. would that be a problem, like with softward and such?

Most school require windows 7 professional or ultimate to connect to school network. Even though you are using macbook, you still need to get a copy of windows 7 installed on it anyway.

Yeah that shouldn’t be a problem. Other than that, is there anything wrong with mac pros for business majors? Like program specifics?

What schools require Windows 7 to connect to their network? My school certainly doesn’t, and none of my of my friend do either.

I don’t think you will really run into many problems, but if compatibility does become an issue for some reason (software), you can always just run windows on it.

I see… do most business majors stick with PCs or do some go with macs? I have around a 2000 dollar budget, so its either a macbook pro or pc (thinkpad possibly?)

You should check with your school. Most schools I know prefer PC-based laptops with Windows 7, but there are a few who are Mac-based instead. Email some professors or friends you have at that school to find out.

That sounds completely untrue and if it were the case, it would be meaningless.
