Macgregor/Buckland?

im going to mhc in the fall and I wanted to get some opinions and specifics on Macgregor hall and Buckland hall( how r the rooms, facilities (bathrooms/heating/dining), the type of ppl who live there, proximity to academic buildings, the gym, the lake, etc.)...I hear theyre both really nice

MacG is super close to the gym, has AMAZING bay windows, and a pretty good dining hall downstairs (that has an ice cream machine!). Many rooms have a gorgeous view of Upper Lake too. I think all different types of people live there... I don't know, I've heard that it's quiet during the week, but really fun on the weekends. It's really close to the science, language, and psych buildings.

Buckland is on the exact opposite side of the campus. I've only been in there a few times, and only once to see a room, so I can't comment on details. I don't eat there very often, but I LOVE Sunday brunch in that dining hall. It is AMAZING. They have delicious crepes and... you'll understand when you get here haha. It's probably one of the quieter halls. And the room I saw there was really nice. It's right by the music and theatre buildings.

Are you trying to decide which dorms to put down on your residential forms? If you let me know what you're looking for in a dorm, I can make some suggestions.

Both Buckland and MacGregor are far from things, depending on whom you ask. However, you are also most likely to get a decent-sized room at one of these two halls as a first-year than you would in a more centrally located dorm (Safford, Brigham, Porter). They're like closets for first-years there. There is a ton of storage in Buckland rooms.
