well this will be my last thread on this board. in years past wash u was known as a great university who accepted people who truly loved wash u, however wash u has turned. wash u is now a school that is an ivy wanna be, a 1300 3.5 person with strong ECs and interest would usually be offered a place, but now its 2150 or bust. wash u has now shown an affinity for book worms and not people. peace out attendees of this once wonderful university.

i couldn't agree with you more. it's sad, but they have become so concerned with their image on paper and their US News rankings. They now care more about numbers than well-rounded people, and that certainly did not used to be the case.

You have got to be kidding me. Because those who were accepted have higher SAT scores and GPAs, they're "bookworms."

If you look at all the people accepted....they all have decent to outstanding ECs. Just check out the decisions board.

Check the middle 50% SAT for Wash U. : 1360-1520.

JB, they haven't been the type of school that accepts a "1300" SAT person for a while.

Really, do you blame them for wanting to raise their prestige?

How dare Harvard accept people with 2300+! I remember back in the day when they chose a person with a 990 SAT + 2.7 GPA + great ECs. 4.0??? 2300+??? Pshhh. Bookworms, is what I say!

JB: You must be one of those people who were horribly wronged by WashU when they didn't see that you cured cancer or something. I could be wrong, though, because I'm apparently a machine or something.

im sureee i cured cancer

AND you have a 1300 to boot

how could they NOT accept you? Travesty.

i actually dont have a 1300

1320/2000, my bad
