macro/micro economics.

I want to take these AP courses. What exactly is economics? And what is the difference between macro and micro? Which one is easier? And is ap psych easier?

macro is easy... Im not in micro, so I dont know...
its basically the study of markets ... yes... (laws of supply and demand, etc)

Economics is the study of how scarce resources should be allocated to maximize unlimited wants. Macro deals with the overall economy, while Micro deals with specific firms and products. I think Micro's easier, but both are quite unchallenging.

Am taking both Macro and Micro, and like the name implies, the Macro takes the view of the entire economy as the Micro takes the view of the individual firms, person etc. Comparing to Psych, I think Psych is much more easier than both economics.

I took AP Econ last year, took both tests, and got very easy 5's without much studying at all. Our teacher is great, though. Almost everybody in the class got two 5's with minimal studying. I haven't taken Psych, so it would be hard for me to compare, but I don't see how any AP can be much easier than micro/macro.

Both are lame, but overall, macro is slightly more interesting, in my opinion. Deals less with concepts, and more with real life and how econ actually applies.

But you have more graphing with micro... and who doesn't like those cut little graphs?

Explain how Macro deals less with concepts, it is entirely the opposite.

Hey all, AP economics was put in as a first year course this year for our school district. You can imagine what a class full of seniors with a few juniors like myself mixed in is like. But yea we learned nothing pretty much throughout the year. Any chance I can still pass micro next week, or perhaps macro (delayed to 5/19 where I live)? Tips? haha.
