I just got the software today and I was wondering if anyone here is tech-savvy enough to explain it to me.

Dreamweaver is a web design software. Unlike traditional html editors, dreamweaver allows you to create web sites by WYSIWYG, or What you see is what you get. In layman’s terms this means that you can lay out the site visually using Deamweaver, and it writes the html code for you. The result should be close to if not the actual product as it is seen on the web. I’ve used Dreamweaver exclusively over the past few years to create web sites, and let me tell you, it is only limited by the user’s ability.

I would suggest purchasing “Dreamweaver [your version]: The Missing Manual,” which can be found for around $30 on Amazon. Though this may seem expensive, I have used it on numerous occasions and found it to be a simple, well-laid out guide to the functions of Dreamweaver.

Hope this helps! If you have any specific questions, I’ll try my best to answer them. :)

one word: ‘woozywig’

well, the tutorial is hard enough, so any other opinions out there?

You’re gonna have to go through a Dreamweaver book, learn HTML and CSS and do it yourself, or pay a web developer to set up a website for you.
