Okay so my school is always advertising itself as a family and that the administration will help anyone who needs help and be reasonable and blah blah blah. Practically they say they will always help you through anything and stuff. Which is NOT true! They only help the poor people or the popular kids! I will admit there is like 1 or 2 teacher(s) who will actually help anyone they see has problems...Anyway this is what is happening with my:

*Photo teacher **my first hour/b is giving me unfair grades sense my camera was broken and my film wasn't rolling so I have a D in there.
*My science teacher talks about me all the time in the hallway with my old science teacher (like stereotypical little school girls talking and pointing)
*In newspaper I get blamed for all the design crap the other person messing up on. So next year I plan to become the design chief/editor (idk name) so I won't have to deal with him HOWEVER I don't have any teachers that like me enough to give me a good recommendation (well at least the important teachers)
*My math teacher doesn't teach me ANYTHING and I ask her for help and all she says is to ask another student for help! So I don't do well on the tests or do my homework right (making a low C in there now). ALSO she is way stricter with me than everyone else (she makes sure I do everything right as compared to others who she just looks for completion)
*AP Euro my teacher hates me because I don't do the reading and he knows I'm smart and he says my notes are to short when I just really write small and compact
*Latin is okay.....actually starting to pay attention in class so all is good...'

Main problem is that I was sick and didn't have a ride to school a couple of days (5 days) so I missed school and I was late on 9 different times. At my school 10 absences=Lost of credit in that class; 3 tardies=1 absence. So yesterday I was 17min late (yeah long story) and now I have 10 idk what to do!!!

/rant]

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS? ANY TIPS SUGGESTIONS ANYTHING WILL HELP?

Regardless of whether these things are actually your fault or not, teachers hate it when it seems like students are trying to blame others when things go wrong.

For example, I have a friend with some serious health problems who missed a ton of school, but when he got back, he handled the situation in the wrong way. When teachers said things like “Why didn’t you get the assignments off the internet?” he tried to make excuses on top of his illness excuse so that he really just looked irresponsible. It got him off to a bad start with teachers, so he’ll probably just continue to struggle when he inevitably has to miss a week of school again.

I’ve found the best way to approach teacher is with the attitude “This is all my fault (whether or not it is) but could you help me so I can at least get some of the credit, understand, etc.” Of course, if the teacher responds negatively to even this, that’s when you go to the guidance counselor (or whoever handles student complaints) and say “I’ve tried everything and I’ve taken responsibility for MY part, but now the teacher’s not doing THEIR part.”

^See the teachers are not in control of losing credit they administration is…and i don’t even know who to go to! Its like impossible to understand!

Does your school have a way earning back the credit? For example, my school has saturday school. If you go one saturday for every day you missed and do extra assignments there, you can get back your credit. Talk to your guidance counselor or even try having your parents call someone.

you seem like a mess. Get coordinated, learn how to approach teachers with respect, stop making up excuses for your lack of effort, and learn to play the game.

^Yeah right now I am…A LOT of stuff going on right now. And what do you mean “approach teachers with respect” When did I say I don’t? And lol explain this game (want to see if it matches up with my definition)

Teachers pretend to like you cause they want you to do good so they will get paid more, but they really dont care about you. They only know you for a year and then you get new ones. Its not your fault. But they are all friends with eachother and they all talk alot about gossip and stuff. And they party alot usually, but thats another story. Since they talk alot you can ask the ones that you are nice with to talk to the mean ones sometimes. We did that as a group in class once and got stuff changed.

The only response I can think of is: “Would you like some cheese with that whine?”

You said you don’t read your AP Euro and then you blame your teacher because your notes are too short/ you write too small.

As far as teachers not teaching, there are various resources on the web to get help, it’s not that difficult.

You got blamed for something you didn’t do. Darn. I hate when that happens. But it’s life and you have to move on.

The only thing I have empathy for is not having a ride to school since I’m not old enough to drive. However, I have enough friends willing to take me that I don’t have to ride the bus. Speaking of which, ride it instead of being late. If you go to a private school without a bus system, I suggest you get some friends.

Based on your complaining that the administration only helps poor people and popular kids, I have to assume that you’re a rich, unpopular kid, which to me says that you just have some sort of a toxic personality.

Try being nice to people, get a ride to school, participate in class with a smile, do the work, and suddenly life will be a lot easier.

NO! I wish i was rich! I’m poor but unlike others I don’t go around acting like it and making ir obvious and I am popular with the group I want to be popular with.

Based all y’all’s stupid statment you should just go to whatever college based not on social stuff lmao trying telling that to most of everybody

Then maybe you should attempt to use grammar that doesn’t make me cringe.

It’s a fact of life. You do have to grow up. Accept things that are your fault, and stop blaming others. Obviously you haven’t recognized that it hasn’t gotten you anywhere.

Oh well, your equipment broke. Hell, if our equipment breaks at my school, we’re responsible for it. That doesn’t change the fact that you still have to do it. Malfunctions /= sympathy. My college friends told me that.

Unprofessional of your teacher, but grow up. You’re not 6.
So you want to take on a position filled with more criticism and more responsibility? When it seems that you don’t take either very well? Logical.

Unfortunate, but you should do the work anyway. Just because you’re smart doesn’t mean you’re entitled to ***.

Do the work. I have the same comments as the one for math.
