Anyway I can discontinue receiving notifications when someone posts to a thread to which I (foolishly) posted a single comment? The kids on the Deferred from UMichigan thread are relentless! I am inundated with notifications. That will teach me not to post if only to correct someone’s grammar, lol!
It will die down after the initial flurry.
Go to the settings icon in the top right corner of your screen. Click on it and then click on preferences. You can select what you get notifications for.
^To add to the above, click on the little globe icon next to your name (the Notifications button), then Notifications Preference (at the top right of the new window) then change your setting. Don’t forget to hit the Save button.
You didn’t accidentally hit the star on the top right side of the screen, did you? I find that when I use CC on my phone I do that a lot when I’m scrolling. I’ve learned to scroll with my left hand.
Did you accidently bookmark the thread?
This happened to me too…yikes!! Wish we could turn off notifications on a specific thread.
