<p>Can anyone comment on the Maderois Honors Dorm? What is the vibe there? Is it better to request Maderois vs. risk getting a forced triple if you want upper?</p>
<p>Medeiros can guarantee you Upper (plus, I don’t think there are any forced triples there, just doubles along with a few regular triples and quads). In addition to that, your side of your letter (say, right side of B) will be its own community. Lastly, it’s pretty much co-ed, besides the bathrooms.</p>
<p>However, for all of this, I would recommend regular housing because it gives you more opportunities to meet more people, whereas in Medeiros, there are no hallways and you have to go outside to go to another section. If you’re into partying, regular housing is far better than Medeiros. For some reason, some honors students tend to have limited social skills, in my experience. In addition, in my opinion, the rooms in Med are worse than everywhere else on Upper.</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure waitlisted people have a tendency to get forced triples as opposed to honors kids.</p>
