Madison?

About me:

Freshman at U of Iowa, woefully underperformed my first year and a half or so in high school. I desperately want to transfer back to my home state of Wisconsin to UW-Madison, here are my stats

High School stats/activites

class rank 180/390
weighted gpa: 3.3 (big upward trend in last few years)
German exchange program
Orchestra European tour 2006 (Prague, Vienna, Salzburg)
Symphony Orchestra
Chamber Orchestra
Track, 3 years
28 ACT composite, 12 on the writing sample (will the writing score be weighed heavily? I feel it's a real feather in my cap and I hope they take it in to consideration).

College-level stats

AP Gov: 5
AP German: 4
AP English Lit: 4

(all good scores, hoping they will see I can really perform when challenged).

3.8 gpa my first semester at Iowa with 15 credits under my belt, not including retroactive and AP credits, which rachets the total up to 28 for the semester.

So...chance me, please. Pretty please. I'm on pins and needles here.

Decent chance

thanks...anyone else?

bump...it seems that many of members here follow the mindset that if the prospective college isn't an Ivy or on the coasts it doesn't matter.

hmmm wow, come on.

You've got a fair shot because you're doing quite well at U of Iowa, but your high school stuff... Yikes. UW-Madison isn't exactly the least selective of schools, but you probably know that.

hey thanks eurrybody!
