Magellan Study Abroad

Can anyone tell me about this program? How is it ranked among similar programs? My D was offered partial scholarship and we are trying to decide if she should go.

studying abroad in general is a great thng for students to do. I don’t know about Magellan ,but AFS, Rotary, and the all-expense paid state department sponsered study abroad programs are excellent. studenets always rave about their time abroad, no matter what program. And colleges love it when they donbcuz they know that thoses r the globally-prepared and aware studnts who will be leaders of tomorrow.and since these kind of programs are usually really expense, I suggest that she go. It’s not every day that the program themselves gives such generous financial aid. students usually get the majority of their fa from outside non-profits,companies, or they raise it themselves. In short, sh should go. What country is she visiting?

@KimberlyLaila It is for one month in Spain. 3 weeks in Salamanca, then one week in Santiago de Compostela and 3 days in Madrid. I guess we are not mentally prepared yet. She is just 15 years old. Something to think about.

@seal16 Yeah, it’s mainly juniors who study a broad, but a mature and ready soph. could easily do it. She’ll also have a supportive host family to help her through the tough times and with the language
