Mail 4 (I believe it's called) on Mac computers seems pretty cool. I would like to connect my cornell email with it but I am not succeeding in doing so. Can anyone help me out?

No clue on setting up Mail, but if you’re using a mail client, why wouldn’t you use Mozilla Thunderbird?

I found this on the CIT site: [CIT: Cmail How to…](<a href=“IT@Cornell | Services and Support”>IT@Cornell | Services and Support)

Cornell has a new e-mail program…but the process of setting up your Cornell mail account with the Apple Mail client looks pretty similar to the way I hooked up the old e-mail system to my Apple Mail client.

Maybe this link will help you.

[Apple Mail 4.0 - Gmail Help](Check Gmail through other email platforms - Gmail Help)

I just do not know what to put for “incoming mail server”. Everything i have put failed

This is what CIT sent me after we switched to Cmail (I think I was using Thunderbird at the time, but I use Mail on my Mac now without problems):

The incoming server should be “imap.gmail.com” and the outgoing server should be “smtp.gmail.com”. Be sure your username is now set to “netID@cornell.edu”, not just your netID.

^Indigo, that did it! Thanks so much

Wow, guess you didn’t read the link I posted then

^My bad, when I logged on to CC, i just read the most recent post
