Mail from admission's office?

I'm just curious....D sent app in on 9/28 and requested HS transcripts on 9/30. Just received a letter from UF admission's office, requesting the transcripts. She checked gator link and they received them on 10/3. I'm just wondering why they would spent time and $ to mail these out knowing they will, most likely, come in shortly. We didn't get them from any other Schools.

Good point! But I know since I have son who is a freshman at UF this year that they nickle and dime you to death. Like that $25 hold a spot for housing whether you are accepted or not fee. Imagine how much that adds up to.

The housing fee is great. If your son is accepted and already paid the fee, he is guaranteed the best housing… the sooner the better. A lot of people wish they had paid it sooner.

What ufgator18 said! Pay the $25 fee as soon as you get the notice. It’s worth it.

When and how do you get the notice to pay it?

The department of housing will email you about 2-3 weeks after you apply. Or go online to their website.

Not in all cases. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-florida/1220745-no-campus-housing-spring-2012-freshmen.html

Don’t wait to get a notice!!!

Make a gator link account using the ufid of your application. Go to the housing site and reserve your spot on the housing list. I did it about this time last year and was able get my choice of housing.

Same thing occurred to me. I actually got the mail from UF asking for the transcript the same day they updated my application status saying they requested and received my transcript from my high school.
