Mail from Yale

I've been bombarded. Does this mean they like me, or do they just do this to all high scorers?

what do you mean bombarded, and what scores. i would think its rare to be a high scorer for yale

I get mail from Yale, too. It makes my day!

um he meant high schoolers lol. and yeah they do it for everyone, so dont get your hopes up. (but dont get depressed either)

They send mail out to most people. It's Yale's way of trying to get you to apply. Although, I do think that they specifically target some people in their mailings. I didn't get any mail from Yale before I applied last year though.

Shark bite - no actually I think this is a junior (and a 'high scorer' as he/she said) wondering if his/her high scores are why Yale is targetting him/her. I know I got junk mail from Harvard, and I don't think they're exact panting over my SAT scores, so take it with a grain of salt. But be happy, I guess.

They do this to ALL high scorers and the letters come in bunches after each subsequent test results are released (i.e., first PSAT, then ACT, then SAT, etc).

I didn't think they had access to your scores.......they do?

On the PSAT there's a box you can check to have your info and score released to universities. If you check this box (sometimes even if you don't=p) you will likely receive a LOT of unsolicited mail. Including mail from places like Yale.

meant schoolers sorry. Too late for me to edit my original post. I bombed the PSATs last year :(.

EDIT: Well, not bomb, but not where I really wanted it.
